Elizaveta Berezina and Yuri Rudnev from the Central European University (CEU) are organizing this workshop on June 19, to analyze the visual languages of the protests of 1968 and the BLM movement.

10.06.2021

The workshop will take place on Saturday, June 19, 11–14:00. Together with Marsha Siefert, Cold War media and cultural diplomacy expert at the Central European University, and Jeremy Adelman, expert in global history and director of the Global History Lab at Princeton University, the participants will analyze the visual languages of the protests of 1968 and the BLM movement. The participants are going to reflect on how political identities speak through visual symbols and slogans in order to use the public visual space more mindfully.
